This is the Oarfish. The Oarfish is a very interesting animal. First, lets talk about its looks. A sputtering Oarfish may look like a terrifying sea monster... but it is not thought to pose a threat to humans or boaters. Unlike many bony fish, Oarfish lack scales. Which makes them unique. Instead, they have tubercules and a silvery coat of a material called guanine.
